Who sends us footage
Dance footage piles up fast. A studio's spring recital can run thirty routines across two shows, shot on two or three cameras by a parent volunteer or a hired videographer. A competition team needs a clean file of each routine for judges' feedback and a highlight reel for next season's recruiting. A choreographer films a piece in the studio and wants it cut to the track for a portfolio or a reel.
Underneath, the work is the same: line up the cameras and the music, pick the angle that shows the choreography best at each moment, cut on the beat, fix the light and the sound, and export the versions each audience needs.

What to send
A clear brief saves a round of questions. A useful one covers:
- A link to the footage (Google Drive, Dropbox, WeTransfer or similar) and the number of cameras
- The program or running order, with routine names, so every clip gets the right title
- The music files you used on the day, if you have them; clean audio makes syncing much easier
- What you need back: one full show, a file per routine, a highlight reel, or vertical clips
- Anything that must stay out of the published video, such as a student who isn't cleared to appear
- The date families, judges or the studio need the files
Don't have all of that? Send the footage link and the program. We'll list anything missing in the quote.

Common questions
How much does recital editing cost?
It depends on the number of routines, the number of cameras, how much sound and color work the footage needs, and how many versions you want. We quote each job in writing after seeing the brief.
Do you film the recital?
No. We edit footage shot by your videographer, your staff or a parent volunteer. If you're planning a shoot, we can send notes on camera placement that make the edit easier.
Can families get one file per routine?
Yes. Splitting a show into titled routine files is one of the most common requests, and it makes sharing with families simple.
Are the images on this site real productions?
No. The stills are AI-generated samples and the diagrams are concepts made for this site. We don't publish client footage without permission.
